From memory to manuscript

A story I kept
coming back to.

Inspired by my own experience of the Mumbai floods, this is a work of fiction. Characters and situations have been adapted to tell a wider human story.

I returned to an unfinished manuscript after a long break. Completing it meant revisiting a memory that had stayed with me for more than twenty years, and finding a way to share it through fiction.
